A Missouri Lottery player who bought a Powerball ticket in Earth City has won a $1 million prize after matching all five white-ball numbers drawn in Saturday’s drawing. It’s the 13th time this year a Missouri player has won the $1 million Match 5 prize.
The latest Match 5 ticket was purchased at Motomart, 3298 Ridertrail South in Earth City, for the Oct. 19 drawing. The winning number combination was 9, 33, 54, 56 and 57.
According to May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery, the lucky ticket holder “should sign the back of the ticket immediately, keeping it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize at one of our Lottery offices.”
Reardon also noted that all players should check their tickets closely.
“There are nine ways to win a Powerball prize, so even if you didn’t win a million dollars this weekend, your ticket could still be a winner,” she said.
Draw Game winners, including those who play Powerball, have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until April 17, 2014. Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.
