Austin Riggins of East Prairie may be dating his lucky charm.  When the 19-year-old stopped at M&M Deli, 501 Main St. in New Madrid, to visit his girlfriend, he ended up leaving the store $100,000 richer, thanks to uncovering the prize on a Missouri Lottery “Millionaire” Scratchers ticket.

“She is the one who actually sold me the ticket,” shared Riggins, referring to his girlfriend’s job as a store clerk.

The irrigation technician said the prize will “relieve some financial pressure.”

“I am going to pay off my truck, and I’m also going to pay for school to become a firefighter,” he explained.

The $10 “Millionaire ”Scratchers ticket offers more than 100 prizes ranging from $10,000 to $1 million.
