James Ellis of Owensville will be a VIP guest at all of the Kansas City Chiefs home games next season, thanks to uncovering an instant-win all-inclusive 2014 season ticket package on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers game. The 37-year-old scored the prize on a “Kansas City Chiefs” ticket in early September when he stopped for gas at Casey’s General Store, 100 E. Fourth St., in Dixon.
The prize will allow Ellis to visit Arrowhead Stadium for his first-ever NFL game, complete with added perks, including: two VIP club-level season tickets, a VIP parking pass, food and beverage, $500 spending cash and a $100 pro shop voucher.
The father-of-two said it “might be competitive” at his Gasconade County residence when next season starts between his two teenage sons.
“We’ll have to figure out who gets to go to which game with me,” Ellis explained, adding that nobody in his family has ever been to a professional football game before. “It really hasn’t sunk in yet.”
The construction worker summed up his Lottery winning experience as noting he’s “pretty happy.”
“Kansas City Chiefs,” a $5 ticket with a top prize of $75,000 and the chance to instantly win an all-inclusive season ticket package, officially started on Aug. 29.
