For the second consecutive year, Mr. T’s at Riverside, 510 U.S. Highway 412 in Cardwell, was the top-selling Missouri Lottery retailer. Mr. T’s at Riverside is part of an elite group of 33 Lottery retail locations that all sold more than $1 million in Lottery products last year. To celebrate the achievement, the Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on July 3.

“The real winner is public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Lottery sales at Mr. T’s at Riverside alone generated more than half-a-million dollars for public education in calendar years 2012 and 2011.

Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.

“The customer appreciation event was meant to be a fun way to both highlight the store’s success and reward customers by holding special in-store drawings and awarding prizes,” Reardon said.
