With a day away from work, St. Louis resident D. Watlington decided to take a few Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets to a nearby park to scratch them off. It was there that he realized he had won a top prize on a “$100,000 Crossword Doubler” ticket by uncovering 10 words contained in the game’s puzzle.

“I thought, ‘If I win, great. If not, I’ll go home and get some things done.’ But now, I’m still shaking,” he said of the exciting experience, while redeeming his winning ticket at the Lottery’s St. Louis office. “It’s still sinking in.”

Watlington purchased the ticket at U-Gas, 3225 Hampton Ave., in St. Louis. His prize is one of five $100,000 top prizes made available in the “$100,000 Crossword Doubler” game, which officially began on Jan. 18.  The game also offers thousands of prizes ranging from $5 to $20,000.

Remaining prizes for this, and all Missouri Lottery Scratchers games, can be tracked on the Scratchers page at MOLottery.com.
