SMITHVILLE FAMILY CAN BEAT THE HEAT AFTER WINNING $100,000 IN POWERBALL
A Smithville man is thinking about putting in a swimming pool after winning $100,000 in the April 4 Powerball drawing. Keith Thompson, 39, said he and his wife, Debbie, also plan to use some of the winnings to pay bills.
Thompson, who is the general manager for a parking company, purchased his winning ticket at Ampride in Smithville. He let the computer select the winning combination of numbers on his ticket. Those numbers were: 5, 12, 13, 16 and 43.
To date, 525 tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since Powerball began nine years ago.
