A Missouri Lottery player who bought a Powerball ticket in St. Peters has won a $1 million prize after matching all five white-ball numbers drawn in Wednesday’s drawing. It was the fourth $1 million Match 5 winning ticket sold in Missouri during the most recent Powerball run, which ended last night with winners in Minnesota and New Jersey splitting the $448.4 million jackpot prize.
The latest Missouri Match 5 ticket was purchased at Hucks Food Store, 2875 St. Peters Howell Road in St. Peters, for the Aug. 7 drawing. The winning number combination was 5, 25, 30, 58 and 59.
“In addition to this $1 million prize, there was also a $10,000 Powerball winner in Knob Noster last night,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “I’d like to remind these players to sign the backs of your tickets right away, and keep them in a safe place until you can come into one of our Lottery offices to claim your prize.”
Reardon also noted that all players should check their tickets closely.
“There are nine ways to win a Powerball prize, so even if you didn’t win one of the larger prizes, your ticket could still be a winner,” she said.
Draw Game winners, including those who play Powerball, have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until Feb. 3, 2014. Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.
