MEMPHIS WOMAN WINS $100,000 DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS

A Memphis, Tenn., woman is spending the new year house hunting after winning $100,000 playing Powerball in Missouri. Gayle Stratton, 54, bought her winning ticket for the Dec. 26 draw at Duckies in Steele. She let the computer pick the winning combination. Those numbers were: 8, 19, 23, 39 and 41. Stratton, who is a document specialist for St. Jude’s Research Hospital, said she "did a little dance" when she found out that she won. To date, 571 tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
