KANSAS CITY MAN CLAIMS LOTTO JACKPOT

A Kansas City man claimed half of the April 11 Missouri Lottery Lotto jackpot worth $2.1 million. Stephen Brown claimed his prize Thursday with a ticket he purchased at Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store, 6731 Blue Ridge Blvd. in Raytown. Another winner from Mexico also matched all six numbers to share the jackpot equally with Brown; they will each receive $1,050,000 before taxes. Brown used "Quick Pick" to select his lucky numbers. The winning numbers were: 3, 6, 15, 30, 37 and 41. In addition to Brown’s win, Hy-Vee will receive a check for $10,500, an amount equal to 1 percent of Brown’s winnings, for selling the winning ticket. To date, 165 jackpot tickets worth $1 million or more have been sold since the Missouri Lottery began nearly 15 years ago. Of those tickets, 118 were sold through the Lotto game.
