Tabitha Nolte of Greentop is about to pack her bags and head to Las Vegas with her best friend of more than a decade, thanks to winning the Missouri Lottery’s Show Me Cash jackpot on June 1. Forty-year-old Nolte joked that although she is a licensed practical nurse, she thought she might need some medical attention herself after realizing she’d won $81,000.

Nolte noted that she started playing the set of Show Me Cash numbers in which she won the jackpot last year. She has the numbers memorized – 1, 2, 10, 18 and 20, but even so, she admitted that she had to compare her numbers to the winning numbers multiple times before she believed her eyes.

“I think I just started yelling after that,” Nolte recalled, adding that when she finally calmed down, she called her longtime friend, Jennifer Rice, of Kirksville.

After paying for tuition bills and vehicles for her 18-and 19-year-old sons, both in college, Nolte is treating herself and pal to a weekend in Nevada.

She purchased her winning ticket at Shop N Go, 2700 N. Baltimore, in Kirksville.

Show Me Cash is a daily Draw Game with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until someone wins. In the past 12 months, 56 jackpot prizes have been awarded. The average Show Me Cash jackpot prize is $189,696.  Nolte is the game’s 257th winner.
