ILLINOIS MAN FINDS $100,000 SURVIVAL KIT
A truck driver from Illinois hauled in $100,000 after he uncovered a top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Safari Survival" Scratchers game. Phillip Crum, 69, of Macomb, Ill., said he bought two of the instant tickets on Nov. 2, when he stopped at Ayerco in Alexandria for gas for his truck. One ticket was worth $3; the other turned out to be worth $100,000.
Crum, who is retired from the military, said he plans to buy a new television and travel with the money.
In addition to offering players 16 chances to win up to $100,000, "Safari Survival," which officially started Oct. 20, has 25 prizes worth $2,500 in travel.
