Due to strong sales, the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing has been increased from an estimated $350 million to an estimated $360 million, the third-largest jackpot prize ever offered in the game. The cash option is now worth approximately $229.2 million in one payment before taxes.

“We want players to have fun, do a little dreaming, but also to remember to play responsibly,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “It just takes one ticket to win, whether the jackpot is $40 million or $360 million.”

Players have until 8:59 p.m. Wednesday to purchase Powerball tickets in Missouri.

Of the 45 lotteries that offer Powerball, Missouri is ranked second in terms of Powerball jackpot winners with 27.
