An Independence woman uncovered a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle prize on a Missouri Lottery “Harley-Davidson” Scratchers ticket. Bernadine Berryman, 48, won the prize on May 3 when she stopped at David’s Neighborhood Shop, 3302 Blue Ridge Cutoff, in Independence.
“We had a ‘Harley-Davidson’ ticket that had won $10, and we cashed it in to get the winning ticket,” said Berryman.
Berryman said that she scratched off the prize with her girlfriend, so it wasn’t clear how they would split the prize. The Lottery pays the taxes and provides a $21,000 credit at a local dealership to purchase a new motorcycle, or the player can choose the cash equivalent.
With a husband who rides a Harley-Davidson, Berryman was excited about a new motorcycle for herself.
“Ever since Friday, it’s been non-stop,” she related.
Five more motorcycle prizes are available in the Scratchers game. In addition, players can enter their non-winning “Harley-Davidson” Scratchers tickets into one of four drawings in the Lottery’s “Ticket To Ride” promotion to win: a Harley-Davidson motorcycle of their choice or $21,000; a $500 cash prize; or an officially licensed Harley-Davidson merchandise prize pack. Players can enter the promotional drawings online through a free My Lottery® Players Club account, and they also will automatically earn points to be redeemed for prizes in the Lottery’s online Points For Prizes™ store.
