Leslie Ragain said she’s not a regular Missouri Lottery player, but with the encouragement of friends last Saturday night, she decided to go in on a “Mega MONOPOLY™” Scratchers ticket. That decision led to her being the “life” of the party after finding a $10,000 prize.
“I did a dance, since I can’t drink because I’m expecting,” she explained, patting her tummy.
The 27-year-old mother-of-three added that her condition would dictate how the prize is spent.
“Well, first I’m going baby-shopping,” declared Ragain. “Then, pay some bills. Pay rent.”
Ragain bought the winning Scratchers ticket at PetroMart, 3300 Falling Leaf Lane, in Columbia. She related a story about a neighbor winning on the same game.
“Keep trying,” she told other players. “It will happen.”
“Mega MONOPOLY™” is a $10 game that officially began Aug. 29, 2009. In addition to one to prize of $2 million, more than $14 million in prizes remain. Track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket here at MOLottery.com.
