Florissant Duo Makes $1 Million with Match 5 Powerball Prize

Story Photo Thanks to a second-level prize winning Powerball ticket, the millionaires in Missouri have multiplied again. Two Florissant residents claimed a $1 million Powerball prize from the drawing on Feb. 16. Charles and Flossie Reece used Quick Pick to match all five white-ball numbers drawn. The winning numbers were:  15, 16, 46, 50 and 58.
The Reeces’ win marks the 14th time a $1 million Powerball prize has been claimed by Missouri Lottery players since the prize structure changed in early 2012. Prior to the game modification, Powerball players who matched all five white-ball numbers won $200,000.
The Reeces purchased the winning ticket at Shop N Save, 175 Flower Valley Shopping Center, in Florissant.
Powerball is a $2 per play multi-lottery Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. Drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. The largest Powerball jackpot to date was $587.5 million on Nov. 28, 2012. The jackpot was split by two ticketholders – one in Missouri and one in Arizona.
