It was a winning weekend for St. Louis area Lottery players, as not one, but two, lucky winners scored prizes worth $1 million or more.
A Missouri Lotto ticket purchased at Aro-Mart, 3755 Harvester Road in St. Peters, matched all six numbers drawn on Feb. 16 to win the $2.2 million jackpot prize. The winning number combination was: 1, 8, 27, 36, 37 and 40.
About an hour later, another player won $1 million by matching all five white-ball numbers drawn during the Powerball drawing. That ticket was purchased at Shop ‘N Save, 175 Flower Valley Shopping Center in Florissant, with the winning numbers of: 15, 16, 46, 50 and 58.
“What a big weekend,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “If you’re holding either of these winning tickets, make sure you sign the back of it right away. Then keep it in a safe location until you can claim your prize at one of our four Lottery offices, including one in St. Louis.”
Lotto and Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until Aug. 15. Missouri Lottery offices are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.
