HILLSBORO FRIENDS SHARE $100,000 POWERBALL PRIZE

Two women from Hillsboro are sharing a big windfall after their Powerball ticket matched all five white-ball numbers drawn on Jan. 17 to win $100,000. Julie Webber, 39, and Suzanne Duffey, 43, claimed their prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis office on Jan. 19. The duo purchased their winning ticket at Convenient Food Mart, 10201 Highway 21 in Hillsboro. They let the computer terminal generate the random winning numbers. They were: 9, 16, 28, 31 and 48. To date, 510 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the game began in 1992.
