A farmer from Advance claimed the first top prize on a Missouri Lottery “Season’s Greetings” Scratchers ticket. Richard Beussink, 56, purchased the ticket in late November at Amerimart, 102 S. Oak St., in Advance. He uncovered the $250,000 prize right away, but he took some time to decide what to do next. He said that he would use some of the windfall to buy new equipment for his farm.
Beussink added that he is not a regular player, and he was unsure why he chose the “Season’s Greetings” ticket. He’s the second big winner from Advance in recent years – a young man named Aaron Cantrell claimed a top prize on a “$200,000 A Year For Life” ticket in 2010.
“Season’s Greetings” is a $10 game that officially began Oct. 22. In addition to two remaining top prizes of $250,000 and more than $7 million in smaller prizes, non-winning “Season’s Greetings” tickets are eligible for entry in the “Let It Dough!” second-chance promotion.
