There were two winning tickets sold for the Nov. 13 Missouri Lottery Show Me Cash jackpot of $133,000. In a strange twist, one Rock Hill man ended up with both winning tickets. Elijah Hill credits superstition with his status as the only Show Me Cash jackpot winner to split a prize with himself.
Hill purchased the first winning ticket at Dierbergs, 9901 Manchester Road, in Warson Woods. When he saw a new store opened up down the street, he ran his playslip again at U-Gas Rock Hill, 9401 Manchester Road, in Rock Hill.
Hill used a combination of birthdates and lucky numbers to pick the winning numbers: 5, 11, 14, 19 and 20. He was the only player to match all five winning numbers in the Nov. 13 drawing, so he collected both shares of the $133,000 jackpot - $66,500 for each winning ticket.
Both retail locations earned a $500 bonus for selling a winning Show Me Cash jackpot ticket.
Show Me Cash is a daily Draw Game with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until someone wins. Since 2008, 227 Show Me Cash jackpots have been won. Two other players have recorded two Show Me Cash jackpot wins, but Hill is the first player to have two winning tickets for the same drawing.
