Father's Favorite Numbers Fuel Pick 4 Prize
A father has his toddler to thank for helping secure a $3,250 prize from the Missouri Lottery. Twenty-five-year-old Gene Arras of Jefferson City likes to play “the same numbers” on Pick 4, and his persistence paid off when his lucky numbers hit on Aug. 11 during the evening drawing.
“All of the numbers have to do with my daughter,” explained Arras, clarifying that he uses a combination of his daughter’s birthday.
As for plans for the windfall, he intends to use his winnings to pay bills and “get something special” for his two-year-old child.
In terms of advice for fellow Pick 4 enthusiasts, he urged players to, “Stick with your numbers.”
“I’m thrilled and excited,” he concluded with a smile.
Arras purchased his winning Pick 4 ticket at Schnucks Market, 1801 Missouri Blvd., in Jefferson City.
