$1 Million Prize Sold in St. Louis Still Unclaimed

Story Photo More than a week after matching all five white-ball numbers in the Aug. 4 Powerball drawing, the owner of the winning ticket worth $1 million has yet to come forward.
The ticket was purchased at Safi Amoco, 1110 Salisbury St., in St. Louis. The winning numbers were:  19, 30, 48, 53 and 55.

“If you buy tickets at this location, it would be worth your while to double-check them,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Imagine how much fun it would be to find out you had a ticket worth a million bucks.”

Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  In this case, the winner has until Jan. 31, 2013, to present the winning ticket.

The Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis office is located at 1831 Craig Park Ct., and other offices are located in Kansas City, Jefferson City and Springfield.  Maps to each office can be found on the Lottery’s website at Molottery.com ( http://www.molottery.com/contactus/contactus.jsp ).

The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday night is up to $305 million, which is the sixth largest Powerball jackpot ever offered.
