West Plains Man Wins $500,000

A West Plains man claimed the second prize of $500,000 on a Missouri Lottery “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” Scratchers ticket. Lucas Threlkeld, 31, bought the winning ticket at Party Pantry, 1460 Gibson St., in West Plains. Like the top prize of $3 million, the second prize includes 29 percent withholding for state and federal taxes, so Threlkeld’s check will be $500,000.
$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” is a $20 game that officially began August 13, 2011. Threlkeld is the second person to claim a second-place prize in the game. More than $42 million in prizes, including one top prize and two second-place prizes, remain in the game. Track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at Molottery.com.
