Marley Wallace of Lebanon credits “that funny feeling” at the checkout counter for his purchase of a Missouri Lottery “$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” Scratchers game. He bought the ticket during a quick stop for gas at Lazy Lee’s One Stop, 566 W. Commercial St. in Lebanon, on June 1.

Wallace, 53, said he bought “just the one” ticket and took it home to uncover the $4,000 prize.

“I got home and scratched off about half of it, and I saw where it said, ‘cash,’” he explained. “So I called my boy to come look at it.”

Unsure of the exact amount he’d won, Wallace said he took his ticket to the store to find out for sure.

“It blew us all away. I couldn’t believe it,” he said of learning the amount of his prize.

He plans to use the money to start small savings accounts for each of his three grandchildren.

$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza,” a $20 game that officially started Jan. 23, 2010, has two top prizes of $5 million that remain unclaimed. Remaining prizes for “$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” and all Missouri Lottery Scratchers games can be tracked at Molottery.com.
