Lottery Prize Makes Bonne Terre Man a Millionaire

Twenty-six-year-old Richard McCoy of Bonne Terre is now a Missouri Lottery-made millionaire. McCoy won a $1 million Powerball prize by using a combination of family birthdates to match all five white-ball numbers drawn on April 7. He purchased the winning Powerball ticket at Casey’s General Store, 1100 N. Desloge Drive, in Desloge.

Powerball is a multi-lottery game that gives players nine ways to win cash prizes with the jackpot starting at $40 million. In addition to the jackpot, the game offers second-level prizes of $1 million, third-level prizes of $10,000 and increased payouts by using Power Play.
