BOONVILLE RETAILER SELLS TICKET WORTH $1.5 MILLION

Some lucky person who bought a Missouri Lotto ticket in Boonville for last night’s drawing is $1.5 million richer today. One ticket sold at Jump Stop, 2450 S. Main in Boonville matched all six numbers drawn last night to win the jackpot. The winning numbers were: 19, 26, 32, 41, 42 and 43. "The winner has 60 days from the drawing to decide if he or she would like to receive the money in one lump-sum cash payment or paid out over the next 25 years," said Gary Gonder, director of communications for the Missouri Lottery. The amount for the one-time cash payment is the money in the jackpot prize pool that the Lottery would normally invest, which is about half of the advertised jackpot, or in this case, approximately $750,000 before taxes. If the player chooses the annuity option, he or she would receive approximately $60,000 a year before taxes for the next 25 years. If you find you have the winning ticket, sign the back of the ticket, put it in a safe place until you can take it to one of the Lottery’s four offices, located in St. Louis, Springfield, Jefferson City and Kansas City. Maps and directions to the offices can be found on the Lottery’s Web site at www.molottery.com. Jump Stop will receive approximately $15,000, an amount equivalent to 1 percent of the jackpot, for selling the winning ticket.
