KIRKWOOD MAN UNCOVERS $100,000 PRIZE ON LOTTERY TICKET

A Kirkwood man is beefing up his three children’s college funds after a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket he bought turned out to be worth $100,000. Robert "Bob" Bilbrey, 54, said he also may take a trip with some of the winnings. Bilbrey, who is a manager for Southwestern Bell, purchased his winning ticket on Feb. 28, when he was doing some grocery shopping at Schnucks Market, 11945 Manchester Road in St. Louis. While there, Bilbrey cashed in $20 worth of previous winning lottery tickets and bought six of the $3 "Bank Vault" tickets and a couple others. When he got home, he discovered he had bought a "Bank Vault" ticket worth $100,000. The "Bank Vault" instant game began last November.
