BRECKENRIDGE MAN WINS $100,000 PLAYING POWERBALL

A 25-year-old Breckenridge man is $100,000 richer after his $1 Powerball ticket matched all five white-ball numbers in the Feb. 21 drawing. Leland Hawk Jr. said he and his wife, Bobby, plan to pay off their house loan and pay bills with the windfall. Hawk purchased his winning ticket at Piggly Wiggly, 506 S. Washington in Chillicothe. He let the computer pick the winning combination. Those numbers were: 4, 10, 32, 39 and 45. To date, 517 tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since Powerball began nine years ago.
