$1 Million Powerball Winner Remains a Mystery

One month after a lucky Missouri Lottery player matched all five white-ball numbers in the Feb. 8 Powerball drawing, the identity of the player remains unknown, and the $1 million prize remains unclaimed.

The ticket, which was purchased at Schnucks Market, 60 Hampton Village Plaza in St. Louis, matched the winning number combination of 17, 28, 38, 39 and 51.

“If you shop at this Schnucks location and purchased a Powerball ticket during any of your recent visits, we urge you to check your purse, your wallet, or anywhere else you might have stashed a Lottery ticket while shopping,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “You could be sitting on $1 million and not even know it!”

Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  In this case, the winner has until Aug. 6, 2012, to present the winning ticket.

The Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis office is located at 1831 Craig Park Ct., and other offices are located in Kansas City, Jefferson City and Springfield.  Maps to each office can be found on the Lottery’s website at Molottery.com.
