Excelsior Springs Man Makes $1 Million with Match 5 Powerball Prize
The millionaires in Missouri keep multiplying, thanks to Powerball’s new prize structure. Virgil Mawby of Excelsior Springs used Quick Pick to match all five white-ball numbers drawn on Feb. 11. This marks the third time a Missourian has won $1 million since the game changed in mid-January. Prior to Jan. 15, Powerball players who matched all five white-ball numbers won $200,000.
Mawby purchased his Powerball ticket at Bee Line Snack Shop, 1005 Isley Blvd., in Excelsior Springs.
