Last night was a big night for Missouri Lottery players, as two lucky winners, in two separate drawings, became millionaires within just an hour of each other. First, Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot worth $3 million was hit in Kansas City, and then a Powerball player in St. Louis won $ 1 million by becoming Missouri’s second Match 5 winner since the game’s new enhancements were implemented Jan. 15.
“We’re always thrilled when we learn we’ve made another Missouri millionaire, and the new Powerball game is performing very well,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “It’s delivered Missouri two $1 million Match 5 winners in less than two weeks! That’s something to get excited about!”
The lucky Powerball ticket was sold at Schnucks, 60 Hampton Village Plaza, in St. Louis. The $3 million winning Lotto ticket was sold at Royal Liquor 3, 1301A W. 103rd St., in Kansas City.
A Sedalia player also won $10,000 in Powerball last night by matching four white-ball numbers and the Powerball. That ticket was sold at Temp Stop, 4575 S. Limit Ave., in Sedalia.
