Alan Hull of Columbia credits a desire for “something new” as the catalyst that prompted him to purchase a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket that held a $10,000 prize. He ended up purchasing a “$100,000 Crossword” Scratchers ticket at Mari’s, 1210 Prathersville Road in Columbia, and he was “glad” he did.
When he scratched off the prize amount with his fiancé, Lisa, he said the couple smiled and “just looked at each other.”
“I was happy,” Hull beamed, adding that the prize will enable him to “pay off bills.”
In addition, he plans to “trade my car in for a newer car.”
As for how this prize might change his daily life, Hull said the windfall made him feel more “comfortable” with his bills.
“I won’t have to worry for a couple months,” he shared.
