Second-Choice Pick Propels Sedalia Man to $4,000 Prize
Rick Perriguey of Sedalia enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate with a heaping helping of cash during a stop at Break Time, 318 W. Broadway, in Sedalia. The 58-year-old won a $4,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “Mega MONOPOLY™” Scratchers ticket that he almost didn’t buy.
Perriguey had planned on purchasing a different Scratchers game, but to his dismay, the game he wanted was sold out, so he had to select a second choice. That’s when he decided to try his luck on a “Mega MONOPOLY™” ticket.
As for how he’ll spend his windfall, he has been considering buying a new shotgun, so he plans to “go ahead and buy that now.”
In retrospect, the heating and cooling technician said that “sometimes going with your second choice is better than your first!”
” is a $10 game with a top prize of $2 million that officially started on Aug. 29, 2009.
