Springfield Woman Stuffs Stocking with $50,000 in 'Nutcracker Cash'

A 56-year-old Springfield woman can now make her holiday shopping list and check it twice, thanks to winning some extra cash from the Missouri Lottery. Edna Pendegrass uncovered a $50,000 top prize on a “Nutcracker Cash” Scratchers ticket that she purchased at Kum and Go, 3416 S. National Ave., in Springfield.
Nutcracker Cash,” a $3 game with a top prize of $50,000, officially began on Oct. 22.

Players can enter non-winning “Nutcracker Cash” tickets into the “Cash Away, Cash Away, Cash Away All!” second-chance promotion for a chance to win up to $15,000.
