Jefferson City Woman Uncovers $5,000 Lottery 'Treasure'

Story Photo audio icon As Missouri Lottery winner Marvaley Fyffe’s friend, Najee McPherson, said, “Christmas came early this year.” Fyffe claimed a $5,000 prize on a “Holiday Treasures” Scratchers ticket with two of her best friends by her side, McPherson and Donovan Dozovado, all of Jefferson City.

“It came at the right time,” noted Fyffe, while breathing a sigh of relief.

The 31-year-old mother-of-two toddlers added that “there’s always something to be done,” and the prize money will be put to great use, whether it be for paying rent, household bills, grocery shopping or all of the above.

The certified nursing assistant purchased the winning ticket at Bee Line Snack Shop, 5114 Old Lohman Road, in Jefferson City.

Holiday Treasures,”  a $10 ticket with a top prize of $250,000, officially began on Oct. 22.
