St. Joseph Group Claims $200,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A group of co-workers from the St. Joseph area have claimed a second-level Powerball prize of $200,000. Thirty-two people claimed a portion of prize, each taking home $6,250. The group matched all five white-ball numbers in the Oct. 15 Powerball drawing.

The winners include:  Stephanie Sutton of Camden Point; Regina Rogers of Faucett; Ryan Harper and Ronald McCoy, both of Gower; Brandon and Lynn Gockley, both of Kansas City; Eric Dierkens of Liberty; Michael Dittemore, Kim Frankovich, Teresa Chase and Bradley Cordell, all of Savannah; Don Mosley and Robert Pope, both of Smithville; Andrew Bramlage, Connie Gorman-Jackson, Randall Groce, Debra Hueser, Nancy Ide, Jacob Jordan, Kyle Koch, Jon Koelliker, Timothy McMurray, Steven Moore, Pamela Moran, Brenda Omeara, Roxanne Profit, Don Sherman, Baric Smith, Kevin Wells and Lisa Wilcoxson, all of St. Joseph; and Beth Hanlan and Pamela Meng, both of Troy, Kan.

The group won with a Quick Pick ticket. The winning numbers for the Oct. 15 Powerball drawing were:  5, 10, 24, 38 and 43. If they had matched the Powerball number of 1, they would have won a jackpot worth $105 million. The Powerball jackpot has continued to grow, and tonight, stands at $245 million. 

The winning ticket was purchased at Trex Mart, 3508 Pear St., in St. Joseph.

Powerball is a multi-lottery Draw Game with jackpots that start at $20 million. For an extra $1 at the time of purchase, players can add Power Play and multiply any non-jackpot prizes by a Power Play number selected during the drawing. The second-level prize with Power Play is an automatic $1 million.
