Retired Veteran From St. Louis Pockets Lottery Jackpot

Edgar Edison of St. Louis buys Lottery tickets almost every day, but he has never won as much as he did on Oct. 14.  He purchased a Mega Millions ticket at Merello Convenience Store, 10901 Old Halls Ferry Road in St. Louis, and won $250,000. His wife, Betty, was the one that discovered the ticket was a big winner when he was away from home. 
   
“She was elated.  It took about 30 minutes to compose herself before she could call me with the news,” explained Edison.
   
Edison retired from the Army in 1984 and says he has been “all over the world.”  He still likes to travel and plans on using his prize money to take some trips. 

Mega Millions is a game with large jackpots, a large second prize and a total of nine ways to win. The jackpot starts at $12 million and grows to mega millions.  Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 10 p.m.
