FERGUSON RETIREE WINS POWERBALL PRIZE

An 83-year-old man from Ferguson is $100,000 richer after playing Powerball in Missouri. McGregor Ridenhour said he bought his winning ticket at Ferguson Amoco, 1032 S. Florissant in Ferguson, when he stopped for gas. On Oct. 17, five of the numbers on his Quick Pick ticket - 5, 7, 29, 40 and 46 - matched the five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize. Ridenhour, who is retired from the Rexall Drug Co., said he plans to buy certificates of deposit with his prize money. To date, 567 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the game began in April 1992.
