OKLAHOMA RETIREE WINS $100,000 AT MISSOURI GETAWAY

A retiree from Red Oak, Okla., who has a "home away from home" trailer in Cassville, won $100,000 playing Powerball in Missouri. Cynthia Johnston, 53, purchased her winning ticket for the Sept. 5 drawing at SOS Store, Highway 112 S. in Cassville. It wasn’t until last week when she looked the winning numbers up on the Internet and discovered she was a winner. Johnston plans to use the money to do some remodeling to her home, including new carpet and the addition of a new bathroom. She may also "do something" for her two children. To date, 567 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the game began in April 1992.
