St. Charles Man Wins $200,000 A Year For Life

What would you do if you won $200,000 per year for the rest of your life? For one St. Charles man, the idea of receiving that amount of money annually has become a reality. Fifty-two-year-old Joel Wright uncovered a top prize on a Missouri Lottery “$200,000 A Year For Life” Scratchers ticket. Wright purchased the winning ticket at QuikTrip, 800 N.E. Woods Chapel Road in Lee’s Summit, in early July.

$200,000 A Year For Life” is a $20 Scratchers game that officially began Aug. 28, 2010. The game features top prizes of $200,000 and $50,000 a year for life. Winners can choose a lump sum based on a 20-year payout or receive annuity payments.
Wright’s prize of $200,000 a year for life (guaranteed for 20 years to equal $4 million before taxes), makes him the 321st Missouri Lottery-made millionaire.
