James Bolger, 69, of Bridgeton, is $25,000 richer after using birthday numbers to select the winning combination from the Aug. 15 SHOW ME 5 drawing. Bolger didn’t realize he had won until three days later when he read the newspaper. Bolger, a retired factory worker, bought his winning ticket at Schnucks Market, 10070 Gravois in St. Louis. His winning numbers were: 4, 6, 19, 27 and 30. Though he is not sure what he will do with the windfall, Bolger said he might use some of the money to buy a new car. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund.
