West Plains Fast Food Manager Finds Four-Leaf Clovers, $100,000
The manager of a West Plains McDonald’s found 30 four-leaf clovers on May 11 and decided it “was a sign.” So Courtney Weaver, 18, of West Plains bought one Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket from the “$100,000 Taxes Paid” game when she stopped at Shop N Go, 1702 Gibson St. in West Plains, that same day.
“I thought maybe my luck would continue,” said Weaver. “I scratched it off at the store and laughed on the way home – I couldn’t believe it.”
Weaver, who is expecting her first child in January, said she plans to use the windfall to pay off the vehicle she purchased a couple of months ago and probably buy a “crib and the necessities.” She said she will save the rest.
