St. Louis Woman Uncovers $20,000 Prize
A St. Louis woman is planning to use a $20,000 Lottery prize to “help her family.” Argilicia Bobo, 24, purchased a few Missouri Lottery tickets after getting off work at Wellston Food Market, 6250 Page Ave., in St. Louis. When the first two tickets didn’t reveal any prizes, Bobo purchased four “10X The Money” Scratchers tickets. She uncovered a $20,000 prize on the first ticket she scratched.
“I told my friend, ‘You’re not going to believe this!’” Bobo recalled.
She showed the ticket to her shocked friend, then called her boyfriend and mother to share the news. Her boyfriend, Kevin Wrice, picked Bobo up and went to show the ticket to her mom before heading to the St. Louis Lottery office to claim her prize.
“I feel excellent,” said Bobo. “I’m blessed.”
In addition to helping her mother and son, Bobo said she would spend the money on a new vehicle.
“I want a truck. That’s what I’ve been looking for,” she said. “I’m tired of cars.”
Bobo said she would continue to play Scratchers tickets, her preferred game. She has won prizes of $100 before, but she said that this was her largest win to date. She offered this advice for other Lottery players.
“Keep on playing. Don’t give up. It is going to be a winner one day,” she suggested.
“10X The Money
” is a $5 game that officially began April 30. The game features a top prize of $100,000, none of which have been claimed. Players can track prizes remaining for this and every Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at Molottery.com.
