SPRINGFIELD WOMAN WINS $10,000

A Springfield woman can pay off her car loan after she scratched off a $10,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Peggy J. Robbins, 46, said she also plans to share a little with the two clerks on duty where she bought her ticket and maybe take a trip to Kansas City. Robbins said she stopped in Signal, 960 S. Glenstone in Springfield, this morning before going flea market shopping. She cashed in $12 worth of previous winning tickets, and she decided to buy one $5 "Casino" ticket with her prize money. She discovered her big win when she scratched off the ticket later at home. "I called my husband at work to tell him and he said, ’Yeah, right,’" she said. Robbins owns an Internet business that manages on-line auctions.
