Kansas Woman Makes Retirement Plans with $4 Million Prize

A woman from Weir, Kan., is about to turn a fantasy into a reality. Thirty-nine-year-old Melissa Morrissey is making plans to “retire before 40,” thanks to winning a $4 million top prize on a Missouri Lottery “4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza” Scratchers ticket. The first-time Lottery winner bought the winning ticket at Asbury Quik Stop, 540 Holland Ave., in Asbury.
4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza” is a $20 Scratchers game that officially began on Jan. 26, 2008. To date, one $4 million top prize and six $1 million second prizes, as well as thousands of prizes ranging from $20 to $25,000, remain in play.
