Lottery Winner Will Buy First Car with Prize Money
Twenty-year-old Dustin Willette of Boonville is about to make a long-awaited purchase. After uncovering a $4,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “$5,000 Cash Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket, he thought one thing: “Wow, now I can get a car!”
The first-time Lottery winner said he “was kind of nervous” when he started scratching off his ticket, because he wasn’t sure how much he had won.
“I thought it was going to be $40, but it turned out to be $4,000,” Willette explained. “I was happy about that!”
When asked to sum up his Lottery winning experience, he noted that he’s “really happy and excited” to begin looking for a vehicle.
Willette purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 328 6th St., in Boonville.
"$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza
," a $20 ticket with a top prize of $5 million, officially began on Jan. 23, 2010. To date, three $5 million and six $1 million prizes, as well as thousands of prizes ranging from $20 to $20,000, remain in play.
