LOTTERY SENDS $11.5 MILLION IN PROCEEDS TO EDUCATION
The Missouri Lottery today transferred $11.5 million to public education. The transfer of $11,504,089 is based on lottery ticket sales in July, and it brings the total transferred to education during fiscal year 2001 to $23,569,503.
Since lottery sales began more than 14 years ago, the lottery has provided the state, including education, with more than $1.5 billion.
