For the second time in less than a month, the Missouri Lottery is looking for a Lotto winner who purchased a ticket in Independence. This time, the winner of a $1.5 million jackpot made the purchase at QuikTrip, 4740 S. Arrowhead Dr.  One Lotto ticket purchased there for the Feb. 12 drawing matched all six numbers drawn – 1, 3, 6, 9, 13 and 43 – to win the jackpot prize.

"This is actually the 200th Lotto jackpot winner since the game started back in 1986,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “If you’re the player holding the lucky ticket, please sign the back of it now and keep it in a safe place until you can claim that $1.5 million prize at one of our Lottery offices.”

Lotto winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  In this case, the winner has until Aug. 11. Missouri Lottery offices are located in Kansas City, Jefferson City, St. Louis and Springfield.  Maps to each office can be found on the Lottery’s website at Molottery.com.

On Jan. 22, a Lotto ticket worth $4.2 million was purchased at a Price Chopper in Independence. That prize was claimed by Deborah King of Independence, along with Cherlyn Harding, Robin Williams and Randy Harding, all of Independence, and Ruth Waldon of Neosho.
