Piedmont Player Pockets $10,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A Piedmont man is $10,000 richer after matching four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the Dec. 29 Powerball drawing.  Charles Mize, 40, purchased a $5 ticket using his own numbers at Ralph’s Supermarket, 323 Business HH, in Piedmont.  Mize plans to pay bills with the windfall.
The winning numbers from the Dec. 29 Powerball drawing were:  3, 16, 18, 20 and 37.  The Powerball number was 30.

Powerball is a multi-lottery Numbers Game with jackpots that start at $20 million.  There are nine different ways to win cash prizes playing Powerball.  For an extra dollar at the time of purchase, players can add Power Play to increase all prizes other than the jackpot by a Power Play number selected during the drawing.  Players who select Power Play and win the second prize of $200,000 will win $1 million, regardless of the Power Play number drawn.
