GIT-N-GO EMPLOYEE WINS $25,000
May 16 was Becky Berg’s last day at Git-N-Go, 2161 E. Republic Court in Springfield. She had decided that she would move back to North Dakota with her fiance to her father’s farm home. On May 16, Berg was given a SHOW ME 5 ticket for that night’s drawing as a going-away gift from a regular customer she referred to as "crazy lottery Bob."
Berg of Springfield had been a fourth assistant at the convenience store since January. Her dedication to her work truly paid off when she noticed at 11 on Tuesday evening that she had been given a winning ticket worth $25,000 tax paid.* The winning numbers were: 3, 8, 11, 13, and 22.
Berg said that she would use her money to pay for her trip to North Dakota and "the wedding of her dreams" in March.
