Missouri Lottery Players To Have More Time to Play and Win

Starting Jan. 10, Missouri Lottery Pick 3, Pick 4, Show Me Cash and Missouri Lotto players will have two more hours to purchase tickets for evening drawings.  Sales will end at 8:59 p.m. for the daily games – Pick 3, Pick 4 and Show Me Cash – and 8:59 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays for Lotto.  Currently, sales for the evening drawings end at 6:45 p.m.

“Moving the drawings back a couple of hours is a win-win situation,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery.  “It gives players more time to buy tickets, it gives retailers more time to earn commissions, and it means more money for public education.

“We are always exploring new and innovative ways to help increase proceeds to public education,” Reardon noted.  “We’re confident the change will result in increased sales – and in turn, proceeds to education.”

When sales end at 8:59 p.m., the drawings will occur between that time and 9:15 p.m.  After 9:15 p.m., players will be able to buy tickets for the next day’s drawing.

The draw times for midday games will not change.  Pick 3 and Pick 4 players can still buy tickets for the midday drawings up to 12:45 p.m. daily.
